Amanda is a young woman whose parents are separated by the death of her mother. Her and her parents lived in a mining camp from the time Amanda was five years old until she was ten. Her father futilely searched for gold until her mother became ill and died. Her dad was a drunk and he couldn't live with the shame for the way he treated Amanda and her mother, so he sends Amanda away to live with her aunt and uncle, even though Amanda begs him not to.
After Amanda turns eighteen and finishes her college studies, she leaves the home of her aunt and uncle who have been nothing but exceptionally terrific parents to her for about eight years. Shortly after leaving, Amanda marries a man who begins physically and mentally abusing her soon after they are married. With the help of a friend, she manages to escape and find refuge on a big ranch in Wyoming that caters to young wayward boys that is also run by a blind man.
There will be excitement from getting lost in the woods, fighting through a blinding snow storm and escaping near-animal assaults, to name a few. She will be fighting off sicknesses and injuries while experimenting and dipping into some hot and bold sexy scenes which will surely delight the curious minds of the reader.
